Whether you like your e-juice fruity and fun, or complex and creamy, there are tons of flavor options available for your vaping pleasure especially here at Vape Craft Inc. There are a lot of flavors you can think of that are available in one e-liquid or another. Of course, the flavor you use should not be your only consideration. Not all e-liquids are the same, and some of them could damage your vape tank if they aren't made for it.

I remember my first experience with a tank cracker way back when. I was relatively new to vaping and happened upon a flavor I couldn't resist. It was maraschino cherry. It was sweet. It was perfect. It cracked my plastic tank. Unfortunately, this was only my first lesson in the nature of e-liquids and which tanks they are not made for. Depending on the e-liquid, the make of your tank, and the way you vape, some juices will not be a good match for you.

Below is a guide to help you choose just the right e-juice for your tank, while avoiding potentially damaging ones.

What's in the Vape Juice?

Certain flavors of e-juice are more acidic. This is particularly true of fruit flavors that have a citrus component. These acidic flavors can eat at a polycarbonate (plastic) tank and cause it to crack. Sometimes it takes a while for these cracks to form, but if the juice is extremely acidic, the tank will crack within a matter of moments after you fill it and there have even been reports of tanks melting. If you have a plastic tank, it's important to look for any manufacturer's advisories on the packaging or website. Most companies take reports of cracking tanks seriously and will warn against using these flavors in anything other than a glass tank. If you notice any clouding, cracking or melting of your polycarbonate tank, dispose of it immediately. Learn more about what's in vape juice - here.

What's the Tank Made of?

I mentioned polycarbonate or plastic tanks above in relation to acidic juices. These are often a favorite of new vapers, as they are lower priced and easy to replace. There are also a good amount of tanks available that are made of glass or Pyrex. The glass tank will cost you a bit more, but it will save you from the issue of cracking and melting due to acidic flavorings. Of course, a glass tank is far more likely to shatter if you drop it than a plastic one, hence you need to be more careful holding it and storing it. Ultimately, the choice is yours. If you are fond of acidic fruit flavored e-juices, you will probably want to invest a little more in a glass tank, but again, the investment will be work it for a better and safer vaping experience.

How Do You Vape?

There are 2 main tank types according to the style of vaping you desire, sub-ohm and standard. A sub-ohm tank is built to create maximum clouds of vapor while a standard tank is built for a more mild cloud, high-flavor experience. Most e-liquids on the market are a blend of propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG). You may be wondering if there is much difference between the 2, since they essentially do the same job. There is. PG provides less vape, a smoother hit and maximum flavor. VG is thicker and makes bigger clouds of vapor while also providing more of the throat hit that some vapers desire.

If you are using a standard tank, you will probably want to look for an e-liquid with less VG than PG. Personally, I use a standard tank and prefer a 50/50 mixture. This allows for decent clouds of vapor without altering the taste or creating a harsh hit. Anything higher than 50% VG will often clog the coil on these tanks and result in a burnt taste.

Those who use sub-ohm tanks will want an e-liquid with a higher level of VG than PG. Once again, a 50/50 mixture is usable, but a 70VG/30PG mixture will provide better vapor. Sub-ohm tanks use much more e-juice than standard tanks and a higher PG mixture will result in a fast depletion of your tank with very little vapor produced.

If you are buying directly from a shop that does its own mixing, or from a website that mixes each liquid on order, you will have the freedom to select exactly the right mixture for your vaping requirements. However, if you are buying a pre-produced e-liquid, it's a good idea to pay attention to the PG/VG mixture and make sure it is the right one for your tank.

Check out this guide if you still want more information on PG and VG ratios.

Electronic Cigarette or MOD?

Another consideration when purchasing your e-liquid is whether you are using an electronic cigarette or a MOD. Some e-cigarettes come with disposable cartridges that aren't meant to be refilled. There are more models today though that come with refillable cartomizers though. When selecting an e-liquid for your cartomizer, the same basic rules apply. VG will produce more vapor while PG will be smoother and more flavorful. The majority of pre-filled cartridges have a high level of PG and a low level of VG. Too much VG can burn out the atomizer faster and result in a burnt taste. MOD's allow for a much more versatile vaping experience as you can adjust the tanks and choose one that is best suited for your needs. Whether you use a MOD or an e-cigarette, make sure your fluid is the correct mixture to avoid burn out and flavor loss.

Vaping can be a good alternative to smoking and it offers a wide variety of options for the enjoyment of the user. With so many options of flavor, mixture, nicotine level and devices available for vaping, take your time and figure out what works best for you. Whether you want big clouds or small, fruity flavors or tobacco flavors, make sure you research which e-liquid works best in your tank. It will increase the life of the tank and your enjoyment of the vaping experience.

Digicharger and smart chargers are two types of devices used to charge batteries. However, they also work a bit differently to. As a vaper, you must have a good understanding for what you are getting into when you are searching for the proper kind of charger. You see, the charger you select should give you a digital display or give you info about how your device is charging.

The Display of the Digicharger

A digicharger has a digital display that will present to you how the battery is performing. You can see the temperature of the battery, how quickly it is charging, and how long until the battery is charged. You can use this info to charge the battery efficiently, and you can use this information when you are trying to charge your device fast when you have little time. You need to know all of this I order to get the best charge possible. A slow charge does no justice for you, and you can try plugging into a different outlet, and you can find a different outlet when the battery is overheating.

Smart Chargers Making Changes without Your Input

Smart chargers use identical technology, but a smart charger can make changes for you without your input. It will change the rate of the charge on its own. For instance, it will begin to make changes if your device is overheating. This is the best way to charge your device when you do not have time to watch over it. You may want to read the display on your charger, but you don’t always have time to do that either.

Which Charger is Best to Use?

You need to pick out a charger that is going to work best for you, and you need to make sure that you are going to get a charger that you can look after. Avoid a digicharger when you are not going to have time to look after the display, or you can get a digicharger when you can watch the display. Get a smart charger when you need the charger to do some of the work for you, and you will be able to get your vaping device charged in a matter of moments. This is going to change the way that you use your device, and you will be able to get better results because the charger is easy for your everyday usage.
